I grew up cooking in the kitchen with my mom. This is a picture of me when I was about eight years old, making homemade pasta with my pasta machine and chef hat I got for Christmas.
My mom’s birthday is coming up, so last week my husband and I went to visit for an early celebration. We treated the family to a wonderful (mostly) paleo brunch. We had turkey sausage, almond flax pancakes, scrambled eggs, fruit, rosemary garlic bread (yes, its paleo- recipe coming soon!), and my very not paleo but oh so delicious orange french toastettes. The orange french toastettes are small pieces of french toast (I use a baguette) baked with a buttery brown sugar and orange zest crust. Let me know if you want the recipe- I won’t tempt you more by posting it! They are far from paleo, but they are my my mom’s favorite, and well, I guess everyone eles’s too! I behaved myself- I only had one tiny little piece.
So I hope this gives you some ideas of how to make a paleo friendly brunch for Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day or just whenever!
